Raja doubts holding of Champions Trophy in Pakistan

Former chief executive Pakistan Cricket Board Rameez Raja said that in case Australian does not tour Pakistan then the holding of the scheduled Champions Trophy in the country may also be doubtful.

Talking in the programme ‘Scorer’ of Geo News, former captain Rameez Raja said that the Australian cricket team’s present tour of Pakistan seems difficult if not impossible.

He said that if this series is not held then the PCB have to bear a huge monetary loss for which the Board should approach the ICC.

On the question that if the Australian cricket team does not come to Pakistan then what would be the future of the Asia Cup and the Champions Trophy in Pakistan this year, Rameez Raja answered that not the holding of the Asia Cup but Champions Trophy in Pakistan may be doubtful.
