Twenty20 Cup: Teams to arrive in South Africa from tomorrow

JOHANNESBURG: Participating teams will start arriving in South Africa for the first ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup from Monday.

Ten out of 12 teams would reach in Johannesburg by September 07. India and England would arrive on September 10.

The media activities would open from Monday evening with press conference of South African Captain Graeme Smith. Kiwi Captain Daniel Vettori would also meet the press on the same day.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting and Ramnaresh Sarawan of West Indies would talk with media on Tuesday September 04. Pakistan team’s media session will be held on September 06 in Johannesburg.

Twenty20 Cricket World Cup will be held from September 11-24 in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban cities of South Africa.

Hosts South Africa would play the opening match of the tournament against West Indies.
