Haroon Lorgat, the next chief executive of the International Cricket Council (ICC) has said the image of cricket was one of the challenges he will face when he takes over from Malcolm Speed in July.
he said in response to a question at a press conference in Cape Town to confirm his appointment.
"There have been certain incidents over the past few years that have impacted on the image of cricket,"
"Being such a global sport it is a challenge that is always going to be there, to protect the image and manage the potential conflicts that one might see coming. There's some work to done to ensure we better manage those sort of situations."
