The deadline of the show cause notice, which was served by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, expiring tomorrow, which if not replied may trigger disciplinary action.
Shoaib Akhtar was also made bound to stick to the discipline in the punishment, which was given to him on his being found guilty in the brawls with the fellow player Muhammad Asif, while warning that a life ban would be slapped on him, if found breaching the discipline in the next two years. However, Shoaib Akhtar before the Pentagular Cup criticized the Board officials, which invited PCB taking action by serving show cause notice on him, whose deadline is though expiring on Monday, but due to the general elections being held in the country, he has been given time for the reply until February 20.
Shoaib Akhtar has already declared that he was neither in the contract of the Board nor he was bound to reply PCB notice. Board’s disciplinary committee will announce the decision on Shoaib’s case and if Shoaib doesn’t reply to the notice, then the committee, taking unilateral action, could punish him banning for life.
